New Deck fpr a brownstone

I want to build a deck for a brownstone in Park Slope over an existing 11′x8′ cmu addition with a flat roof. I understand that it has to be of steel construction. Has anyone built such a deck and can offer some advice on how to do this? How would it be attached over the existing addition? Thanks
