help with moving furniture

pretty basic problem: I need to move a few pieces of furniture around. I think it should take ~20 minutes. Unfortunately I need second man to help me with this. So I saw a “day labor” kind of guys on the corner of 5th ave and Ovington. Should I go there and ask them to help? Is it safe? How much would it cost?

Of course I will get his SSN, check against DHS database and fill in W9.
