decor advice needed-dining rm

Hi, I have a traditional looking dining room–tons of molding, parquet floors. I’d like a dining room table and chairs more on the modern side (think CB2ish more than Pottery Barnish), but I wondered whether it would look weird. Any tips, ideas, links to pics are appreciated!
