We’re looking to buy a condo in a new development. We have already placed a couple of bids (including our highest) on one apartment and didn’t hear back from the selling agent for several days. He called back two days after we left a follow up message and told us that they received a higher bid, but a very similar apartment that had a contract out is about to come back on the market because the buyer is running out of time to sign. In this situation (assuming the apartments are as identical as she claims), is there any point in lowering our bid?
