looking for a kitchen designer

We are looking for someone to help us design our kitchen….maybe bathrooms too! We are gutting our house in Bay Ridge, so we really have to create the new spaces throughout. However, I am having the most concerns about the kitchen and the master bath. We want them to be VERY modern…our contractor says he can do whatever we tell him to do, but I am not sure what I want to do! Has anyone worked with a good kitchen and bath designer they can recommend?
