We have a few questions about our fairly new single family frame house in Brooklyn. We don’t want to break the bank on a big firm, since I think the list of questions we have is short and specific.

Mainly, we are worried about a 10″ crack in an interior wall, wondering if the slats on the wood floors are separating due to poor installation or indicate a problem with the sub-floor, and if the house was properly insulated since the developers keep refering to the house as “attached”, but in reality it is only attached on one side, and only for one story. And those walls are cold!

Can anyone recommend an engineer/architect/local firm that can take a look and answer some of our questions, at a reasonable price?
