re-tiling a bathroom floor

we want to re-tile our bathroom floor; nothing wrong with it, we just don’t like the color.
question: do we need a plumber to take out the toilet and sink first? or can we keep the toilet and sink in place, and have the new tile just surround what’s there? thank you.
