thanks to all for their replies and advice. based on what we were told and what you shared – we are not trying to salvage the stained areas – the acid is too strong and has penetrated quite deep. we want to REPLACE those patches (if possible) to avoid tearing out the entire floor. once the sections are replaced, we will refinish the entire floor. so our questions are 2:
1. is that possible (to replace sections of the floor that has quite detailed work)
2. recommendations for who can do this type of work – both the replacing and the refinishing (there are a lot of names and recommendations on brownstoner with mixed reviews (verazanno, carlos, etc) – any recent recommendations would be very helpful. many thanks
