I received a call last week from Tesha@718 963 5542 claming to be from the Public Service Commision saying that my address was randomly selected to receive a free gas meter upgrade.

They said they’re doing this to improve accuracy and meet code standards.

Mentioned needing to access the basement to install a new gas meter as well as access to the stove to turn off/on the pilot.

Was wondering if anyone else has received similar calls or if this is a scam or slamming technique?
