I found this thing in basement. It was connected to the hot water line, but plumbers disconnected it when they installed the new water heater. They were sure it is not a nuclear warhead, but otherwise it is a mastery water tank. it is made out of brass and must be a prized by junk yards. It is also covered in some sort of insulation, which may or may not contain asbestos.

So the question is how to dispose this thing? Is it posible to find somebody who will take it from the basement? Do I need to go though exhausting asbestos abatement procedure before taking this thing to junk yard?
