Boiler troubles
We have had heat issues since we moved in to this two family house two years ago. We never cared much before, but now we have a baby. So not having heat is a problem. Since October the landlady has had the plumber (“he’s the best”) at least five times. And before him someone else had come twice. I know the boiler has not been replaced in at least 13yrs (it’s definitely older, just not sure how much older). It seems like the plumber just keeps patching up minor problems. We’ll have heat for a few days, usually at about 90 degrees. Then it will suddenly stop, and could be off for days at a time. We use space heaters when necessary, but I feel like it’s unsafe to have those running around the clock. Any heating/plumbing experts care to weight in? Does it sound like she needs a new boiler?
