Boiler not filling

I have a Weil McClain steam heating system. It is at least 15 years old and has been working great for the past couple years. However, I noticed that the water in the glass gauge pipe has been draining quicker than usual. After just running the system for an hour, the water level goes from three quarters of the pipe to a little less than a quarter. Plus, the system no longer refills the gauge…I have to manually refill it using the separate knob.Is the system supposed to autofill itself? What can I do?
