Are Shower curtains a turn off?

I just completed a small bathroom redo for a rental apartment. I’m trying to decide between shower curtains vs basic Home Depot off the shelf sliding enclosures.

Personally, I don’t like the sliding doors as the channels and tracks are a pain to keep clean. I know there are frameless designs, but budget does not allow.

What do other think?
