This past mid fall, driving through the ass end of Bensonurst, on the tip of Gravesend, I spied Spumoni Gardens. I’d only heard of this legendary pizza place, but never been there. So, though I wasn’t exactly hungry, I had to pull over, have a slice, but more importantly , a pistachio spumoni. The slice was very good, excellent by today’s standards. But something told me to get a large spumoni. The pistachio spumoni was heavenly. I recomedn Spumoni Gardens to everyone.
