I’m considerably poorer, but my windows sure look great! (And my wife is very happy. Thank God!)

Last week our new window coverings were installed by Bello Blinds. My wife and I are really happy with the Hunter Douglas cell shades, Silhouette shade, and Wooden Blinds we purchased.

My wife and I desperatley needed window coverings for our newly purchased apartment. And this was quite an educational experience. We had two companies come out before we got very lucky and a neighbor reccomended Bello Blinds to us.

I won’t name the first two companies, but the first salesman was from a franchised outfit. He did a good job of presenting the products he had, and answered some of our questions. But he did seem to have limited time and did pressure us to spend close to ten thousand dollars before he left. And he carried mostly off brand products. He was only with us an hour and a half and we did not feel that we knew enough yet to make a quick decision.

The second company, missed the first appointment and was an hour late for the second appointment. The saleswoman was knowledgeable but the experience did not instill a lot of confidence in my wife or myself.

Simon was great. He was on time, courteous, and spent as much time as we needed. And we barraged him with questions.

Who knew there was such a big selection? Styles, fabrics, light filtering, opaque, cordless, cord loop, etc? It gets confusing. I also never realized how much shades and blinds cost! Man, they are costly. Silhouettes I knew would cost plenty, my wife had primed me for that. But even she was intitially surpised at the cost of the other products when the first guy came out. Simon did make suggestions to help us try to keep the cost within reason. And his price was considerably, almost 20% less than the first guy. Even so, you pay for quality.

The main thing is, the job is done, we love what we have. The installers were excellent. Timely (they called to say they’d be ten minutes late), clean,courteous,careful not to damage or walls or furniture.

To be honest, Simon, the sales person from Bello Blinds, did say, since you are so pleased, would you mind posting about this in a forum?
