Wall color for north-facing dining room

I have a typical bstone north-facing dining room with oak shutters. It’s dark, and I have it painted brick-red. Not loving it, and thinking of using BM Silver Fox, but afraid that’ll be too dark. Any suggestions? Tan persian rug.
