Section 8 for the subway?
after much discussion yesterday about how many people who work in certain important and vital industries that do not make a lot money might be forced to move 2 hours away from their jobs, would it be a bad idea if instead of offering section 8 and or public housing in high value real estate areas, to offer section 8 assistance to their commuting budget? of course a job would need to be verified for the assistant to take place. but it would help allieve and be more of an assistance to those who commute in from very far away to do certain jobs. personally i think the notion of very rich inner areas and then very poor outer areas sucks and reeks of segregation, but if it’s going to go that route i totally think there should be section 8 for the subway. how can i get my opinion heard?
