180 West Street in Greenpoint

Hi

I’ve been admiring this red building on the corner of West Street and Green in Greenpoint but can’t figure it out. There is an abandoned bar there and I can’t seem to see anyone living there, but it’s listed as NOT VACANT on nyc.gov.

Anybody know what the story is on this seemingly empty building?
