converting shower to tub

We have a bathroom with just a shower stall and we’d like to renovate and put in a clawfoot tub/shower set – it is a 2nd floor (there is a clawfoot tub already in another bathroom on the floor) – is there a worry about weight? Also, does anyone know a retail place in NYC where I can look at bathtubs?
