The hot water in my bathroom has recently stated to “jump” when I turn it on. It happens mostly at night. When I turn on a little bit of cold water, it stops “jumping”.

Any guess as to why this happens? Air in the pipes? It never happened before and I have not had any plumbing work done recently.
