lot line question

I am looking to make some renovations to the exterior wall of a property whose exterior wall is about 10 feet from the lot line. RIght now it is a solid wall and I’d like to put in windows and french doors. Anyone know what the building code says about putting windows so close to a lot line? I can’t find anything but have been told it might be too close.

I’d also be happy to take any recs for a good architect who can help me with this project.
