Contractor recommendation for demolishion old small extention and building new one

We are in the closing process for a house in Lefferts Gardens.We want to demolish existing old small size extention and build a bigger(16′ by 20′) one with windows facing garden. Please give us some advise and contracor recommendation!
How long such a renovation usually takes place?
