I’m looking for a competent, reasonably priced architect who will do a simple job for us — drawing plans for one floor (including a kitchen and bathroom), plus a deck and a new wall that will divide the house into two apartments, and filing those plans with the city. We do NOT want someone who charges a percentage of the construction cost, just someone who will charge a reasonable price by the hour or for the total project. Has anyone out there had a good experience with a local licensed architect who would do that?
