We need to get some oxygen into our boiler room to correct a violation. Our plumber is suggesting that they drill holes into the hatch in order to vent the room.

Is this something people have heard of?

Is there a better way to handle this?

It seems like a quick fix to us, not to mention an open invitation to varmints.

Would love an answer ASAP as the plumber is on his way over.
