tub/sink reglazing

I’m thinking about buying a claw foot tub that will need to be reglazed. I’ve heard that the results of reglazing aren’t that great, that it’s really not at all like the porcelain finish. Has anyone had fixtures reglazed and if so can you let me know what you thought of the result?
