How much should stairs cost?

Hi, i’e got an interior staircase (not sure how many steps — maybe 15 to 18?). im being quoted a price of $2700 to replace all the treads. any idea if this is fair? or, if theres only a handful of broken treads — which i think is the case — any idea what a fair price per tread is?
