I am moving and would like to build a wine cellar. I have looked at many books and mags and can’t find the look that I would like. I like the dusty old cave look with simple shelves. I do not want the wine spectator shelving or a swanky wine tasting room with all the rough tile and Bacchus heads. I know what I don’t like but am having a hard time coming up with a concept.

I am looking for ideas. I have seen a few cool things in restaurants and at wineries, but am pretty stumped. My taste tends to run more modern but I like the tension of the old brownstone bones to soften it.
