I own an attached brownstone and recently have been receiving complaints from tenants living on top floor stating that other people living in neighboring building are coming from their roof over to my and are barbequing and hanging out.

On one occasion when I nicely asked them to please not hang out on my roof one of them actually had the nerve to ask me why…..

To prevent things from escalating, I’m thinking about installing a fence on my roof, (neighbors are ok with this) and wanted to know have any of you done this before or know of any fire code or other laws I might violate by doing this?
