Has anyone used De Gamba for paint stripping? I need a bunch of stair spindles stripped (they’re already removed), about 6 doors and probably some window and door mouldings as well. De Gamba quoted me $15 per spindle, which seems awfully high for something I am literally dropping off at their shop and picking up. He also quoted $200 approx. per door (large brownstone interior doors w/ four recessed panels) which seems about right. Any thoughts on those prices, or on the company’s work?
