We’re about to move in to a new apartment. The walls are currently painted white and are in very good condition other than being somewhat dirty/dingy. I plan to have them painted, but I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there such a thing as a washable natural (perhaps clay-based) paint? If not, can you touch up walls painted with clay paint, or does the original color fade or darken over time such that the touchups show?

2. Can anyone recommend a painter who works with natural paints and is familiar with any specific issues surrounding their use?

3.And finally: we have metal baseboard heaters all around the bottom of our walls. Our apartment is a loft, so the indutrial look of them doesn’t bother me, but I am wondering how to deal with these hearters/radiators when we paint. Painting them might be tricky (they are smooth metal, but obviously they get very hot), but leaving them white might look weird. Thoughts??
