I am very confused about lot line window regulations.

I live on the 5th floor of a coop building built to the lot line on both sides. My line abuts a building next door that is only 3 stories tall (i’m a full story above it). The apartment line behind me, which abuts this building’s yard on the lot line, has 3 normal windows. If I could secure an easement from my neighbor, could I potentially install windows along this lot line wall? Who can advise me on this?
