brownstone facade timeline

We are going to have the facade of our brownstone stripped and resurfaced with new brownstone material. The company we’re thinking of using told us that the process would take about 6-8 weeks from start to finish. This seemed quick to us, given how long we’ve seen similar jobs take on other houses.

Does this timeline raise any red flags about the quality of the job they’ll do? Someone mentioned to me that the scratch coat should be in place for a couple of months before placing the next coat on top of it, to prevent cracking. Is that right? Or is there anything else I should ask to be certain that the job will be done well?

Thanks everyone.
