Why no yellow cabs in Brooklyn?

Why can’t we have yellow cabs in Brooklyn, too? Today yes it was raining, but I don’t think I should have to wait 45 minutes for Arecibo, calling them repeatedly only to hear “five minutes” every time, only for the car to never show up so I finally trudge to the subway. With all the new development in Brooklyn, and AY getting built, surely there must be a plan to put yellow cabs in Brooklyn, right? The whole car service thing is not adequate for this borough’s needs. It’s impossible to get a car on a cold or rainy day, or on a weekend night. And yet Bloomberg wants fewer residents of NYC to own their own cars. Why do they make us live this way?
