Please can someone tell me why we have the Armory on Sumner (Marcus Garvey) and Jefferson, that apparently has a full swimming pool, gym facilities, basketball courts etc. inside, lying empty? If such a facility was in Manhattan don’t you think there would be a public outcry and something would be done? The community is crying out for a space like this, yet it just remains as a hostel for transgressors. Great! I hate to make it a race issue, but it kind of makes you think doesn’t it? Does anyone know why it is empty, and what we can do?
