We have a water filter by WateRx (the WX200 model). We recently replaced the filter cartridge (it was time, according to the company’s literature) and the flow of water decreased substantially. With our old cartridge, it took about 10 sec. to fill an 8-oz glass of water, after changing the filter, it was more like 60 sec. When this happened, I called the company and they said they were having this problem with some of their ceramic cartridges and send me their new PVC cartridge. The flow was no better with the new cartridge. I called the company again and they insist that it is perfectly normal to take 60 sec. to fill up a glass of water through the filter. Can this be right? Should I switch to another brand or is this what the world of filtered water is like?

By the way, in light of what the company rep said, I am guessing that my original cartridge was broken from the start and thus the flow was better. I did notice it was split in two when I opened up the container to change the cartridge.
