As I was replacing a cover on the electrical outlet behind my tenant’s stove I heard a popping sound coming from the outlet or just behind the box. Nothing was plugged into the outlet and there was no smoke or anything, just a distinct metal click or pop that came straight from the outlet area. My tenant said sometimes she hears that noise and thought it was the freezer. We had our house rewired last year. Does anyone have any suggestions about what this might be.
