Hi,

I live in Ft. Greene and somewhat followed the controversy surrounding the opening of Blimpies when it happened. I did due diligence and boycotted–and now it’s gone. Not saying that that’s the cause, but I am wondering what is the cause for its demise. Did enough of us boycott it to make it go under? Did that really *work*??

If you have thoughts or knowledge as to why it went under, I would really like to hear them. I’m writing a news story about it for a class, and my deadline is Sunday morning.

I looked on the Blimpies website, and far from opening a slew of them in the NYC area, they only have 2 in Manhattan and one in Queens. I plan on calling them tomorrow to see if I can find any information on this, but if you also have any insights, please let me know.
