HEPA vacuum – buy or rent?

We are doing work on our brownstone and concerned about dust and in particular lead dust lingering. Were thinking to rent a HEPA vacuum but not sure where we do so- any places people know to rent one?

Also, noticed Miele, Hoover and others sell what look like regular cannister vacuums claiming to be “HEPA” rated. Is this really the same as a rented HEPA vac and have people gone this route?
