I am a great fan of small colored tile, and the battle with wife has begun on which looks better, opaque (ceramic) tile or the Italian GLASS tile. Does anyone have a view?

More complex question: the previous owner did a thoughtless renovation, such that the bathtub/shower is flush with the bathroom wall and therefore the stream of water from the shower head hits the window and the ledge, obviously not good for the wood, etc. Can anyone smarter than me think of how to deal with this? Room isn’t so big so not easy to just move the tub elsewhere – maybe put a glass wall over the window, etc.? Has anyone dealt with this?
