I need to have significant repairs done to the front stoop of my brick and frame house in Park Slope. A previous owner built a new set of steps — unfortunately, the steps themselves are too shallow, creating a tripping hazard. (The stoop is made of brick and cement.)

Two questions: 1) Can the step be redone without removing the whole stoop and starting over? 2) Any suggestions for people to do the work?
