The Bed Stuy Reno is Back!

It's been more than a year, but the Bed Stuy Renovation Blog is back. Check out the return post to learn about the drama surrounding its hiatus. There's lots to catch up on so stay tuned. In the meantime, we'd love to hear from anyone starting, or about to start, a renovation who'd be interested in blogging it. Shoot us an email.

Welcome Back Bed Stuy Renovation Blog!

Yahoooo! The Bed Stuy Reno Blog is back in full swing after a too-long hiatus. For those who've been following along from the beginning, the shots of the painting stage will be very exciting. On a related note, it's been a while since we've asked for new renovation bloggers but if anyone's gearing up for a house or apartment renovation and would like to share, please drop us an email at brownstoner@brownstoner.com. No experience necessary, but we do ask that you commit to post at least one, and hopefully two, posts a week.

Renovation Focus: The Vestibule

We've been trying to think of the next area of the house we should focus on for reader-submitted renovations and finally received inspiration from yesterday's post on the Windsor Terrace Renovation Blog: the vestibule. We've also been talking with Mrs. B about simple, inexpensive ways to make our own entryway look a little less haggard, so the timing seems good. So bring on the photos and descriptions of what you've done in your vestibule and why. We'll start running submissions next week.

Today on the Renovation Blogs: The Power of Paint

We remember that feeling of elation when we first saw the paint job in our living room after months of down-and-dirty work. Over on the Windsor Terrace Renovation Blog today, they're currently on that high: "Its really amazing that after all the time, money and effort spent on renovating, the simple act adding paint really has so much of an impact. The color on the walls make the whole house seem more like a home than a war zone." Yeah, baby.
