Streetlevel: A Beauty Salon for Fulton

672-Fulton-Street-1109.jpg
According to the DOB permit in the window, the former clothing store at 672 Fulton Street in Fort Greene is in the process of being turned into a beauty parlor. Word on the street it's being brought to you by the same guy who owns the sushi restaurant, the green market and the froyo place. GMAP

I think that's the same family who owns Mirai, the nail place next door...

the absolute last thing this neighborhood needs.

What a waste of a storefront. We have far too many hair and nails places already, and not a single place to get a decent cup of coffee.

Cool, I've been a customer of Mirai and they've always been nice...very accomadating family. You don't get that from a lot of business owners in Brooklyn.

based on the fact that the other three stores he owns are ALL yuppie establishments, chances are this will be a yuppie hair salon, and not the place you go when you wanna get updated on your neighborhood gossip.

it's a shame, that space has a beautiful outdoor area.

this would've made a great bar spot.

Actually the froyo place has pretty good coffee, and for a while they opened an hour earlier than Provisions. But I think they discontinued that.
