This is a big day for State Street. The developer did a very nice renovation on that house - a nice mix of classic and contemporary, nice finishes and fixtures, though no hint of original detail remains. But there's no garden, only the terraces over the garages, and they kept the storefront-like exteriors on street level (which may have been required by LPC). So, even though they cut $850,000 off the asking price, I still can't believe they got $3.05 million.

Is it just me or is it a little bold to raise the price on the Crown Street place?

Anyone still think the limestone on Windsor Place from the other day won't break $1 million?

Bold? The phrase I'm thinking of rhymes with "ducking cupid."

I never understand when people raise the price when it hasn't sold. if the price was to low, you would have multiple bidders and you would have sold the house at a price higher then ask. but if it didn't sell... well i don't think it's because the price is to low. I would love to know the logic on this. someone needs a reality check.

Two strong sales there.

There's a similar house across the street from the Crown Hgts. house offered at 550k. Even if this house is "finished" the price is nuts. I'm almost positive it was listed a few weeks ago for 649k.
