647 Baltic Coming Down

647-Baltic-Street-1109.jpg
After being cited by the Department of Buildings for "Failure to Maintain" back in July, the vacant building at 647 Baltic Street began being torn down last week. Given the 20-foot crack that ran up the side of the building, this sounds like a prudent course of action.

You see a building being torn down, I see an emancipated wall yearning for lot line windows.

Too bad the building wasn't saved.

You see the potential for new windows, I see the revenue from an American Apparel ad.

It would be nifty if they painted a fake facade... you know, one of those murals with windows and a lady watering her window box or whatever. I like those.
