Development Watch: 527 Lincoln Place

527-Lincoln-Place-1109.jpg
This new building at 527 Lincoln Place looks pretty upscale for a new building in Crown Heights. Turns out the architect of the seven-story, 24-unit building is Kutnicki Bernstein, who've done a bunch of projects in Williamsburg and Downtown Manhattan. Another project of theirs is nearby at 840 Bergen as well. This one on Lincoln Place looks pretty far along, though there appears to be a Partial Stop Work Order in place. What do you think of the design? GMAP P*Shark DOB

Proportions are fine. I'll await further judgment until it's been skinned.

Isn't this considered Eastern Park Slope?

ditto...looks like a piece of shit.

The design is very non-offensive, but not exciting. This has an interesting location right next to the S-shuttle track. The track is in a ravine covered with a good deal of trees. It's almost like a mini park right next to your house that obviously you can only look at.

I wouldnt say it looks shitty it just looks normal for whats being built around this area.

Wonder if you can jump off the fire escapes onto those terraces?

I've seen a lot worse, but this strikes me as being pretty bland.

lol i wouldnt expect anyone in this forum to like it or say anything positive. if its not a land marked brownstone w/ charm its no good. right?

Untrue BKALLDAY. Many on here are fans of some of the better designed condos. I'm a brownstone owner but my favorite new projects include a couple of the Hello Living projects and the Toren building.
New product will be built. It's better to see ambitious projects going up than bland ones or even worse, poorly designed buildings.
