Development Watch: Fischer Out at 572 5th Avenue

572%205th%20avenue%2010-2009.JPG
Initially, the development on 5th Avenue near the corner of 16th Street was designed by Karl Fischer, but DOB records inform that the architect on the job was recently switched to a firm called David King. The building is supposed to have 18 units.

They recently began to work on this building again. I wonder if it will ever finish. I'm tired of tripping over their debris on my way to the dollar store :-)

It's a pretty nice tree, but this is a fringe area of South Slope. I hope they don't expect to get 2006 tree prices for it.

I don't know... That's a pretty nice tree. It managed to shield our eyes from both this new building and The Vue down the street.

Gabby, It's actually King David Arch. not David King according to the DOB permit info.

Karl's got quite a few projects taking their time getting finished in the SSlope. Maybe the developer has farmed this out to King David's construction management services.

David King's website actually has an amazing treehouse project description. Too bad that's not his firm- this was nice tree to work with-
