Streetlevel: Bickels Jerk Express
Bickels Jerk Express, at 1118 Fulton near Franklin, opened its doors on Monday. The restaurant serves Caribbean and Italian food and, of course, specializes in jerked meat. Since it just opened, there haven't been many reactions posted yet. Anyone been yet? GMAP

A GOOD takeout place in this stretch would improve my quality of life 100%... can't wait to try it.

Went there Friday night. Got the large jerk chicken dinner (comes w/ rice and peas and stewed cabbage) + side of mac@cheese. Chicken was delicious, all else was too bland for my taste but not offensive. You can also order just chicken in $4, $6 and $8 servings. They're planning on opening the back patio for dining as well.
The kicker, according to the very sweet and attentive woman behind the counter, they're open 24hrs!!
That I have to say is awesome, as it means that I will no longer drunkenly indulge in a 3am Popeye's run when I get out at the Franklin Ave C stop.

Bickels Jerk Express is open 24 hrs!!! There's a beautiful cafe in the back that seats more than 40 people. They just started a lunchtime buffet..ALL U CAN EAT for 1 HR!! Only $7 Mon-Sat from 11:30 am-3pm!!! The food is great and cheap! Check it out!
