Inside the Knitting Factory's New Digs

knitting-factory-wburg-091009.jpgA couple of weeks ago we showed you how the new Knitting Factory space on Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg was coming along. Now Gothamist takes us inside the music club (which is located in the former Luna Lounge space) with a slide show from yesterday's opening day. "The design playfully evokes a low-budget basement recording studio, with classic pegboard walls backing the stage, and a glass window embedded stage left, where the sound engineer's room would be," writes Jen Carlson. Looks pretty great to us. Did anyone make it to the Les Savy Fav show there last night?
