Development Watch: 291 Bedford Ave

We noticed a bit of activity at 291 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, a corner lot with just the beginnings of a frame built, and when we stopped by, we happened to catch owner Samuel Hymowitz meeting with his team. Mr. Hymowitz owns the adjacent building at 289 Bedford, as well as two others in the area, and said he's planning a mixed-use building in the "same flavor." While 289 is a 22-unit mixed-use building, Mr. Hymowitz is planning a four-story, four-unit building for 291. The units will have three bedrooms and occupy the majority of each floor.
