Big Fire on 4th Ave Between Bergen & St. Marks

Just got a tip from a reader that there's a big fire under way on 4th Avenue between Bergen and St. Marks. Anyone in the area with a camera? Please send photos.

No smoke visible from Manhattan, so can't be that big.

I live about 2 blocks away. An hour or so ago I started to smell the smoke and the sirens haven't stopped. Have not had a chance to take a look yet. Sure hope 4th Avenue Pub is OK! (and all humans & animals, of course)

Ya know why I don't like these fire posts... it's because I fear that I will find out about a fire in my house on here before I find out any other way. Not pleasant.

It's like finding out your daughter died in a plane crash on CNN instead of by phone from a airline person or policeman.

According to Gothamist, there is an All Hands alarm out for 80a 4th Avenue. I think that's closer to St. Marks. That may even be Pacific Standard but I could be wrong.

80 is the Glam-R-Us Hair Salon.
Pacific Standard is #82...

Not the best photo, but you can tell which building it is. (I had a stroller with me... preventing me from taking a little jog to the island on 4th Ave for a better snap.)

Oh my god, I know exactly who/what lives in this space...Books Through Bars and an apartment...I am guessing it is the apartment. Not a friend or anything but I've seen the man.

It's also the office of the NYC AIDS Housing Network...man, that sucks.
